Coat Rack helps nonprofits reduce tech chaos through governance, planning, and clear decision-making. We work with leadership teams to bring structure to technology priorities so organizations can stop reacting, make smarter choices, and build systems that truly support the mission.

Coat Rack was built around a simple belief: the things nonprofits rely on every day need a strong, steady structure behind them. That belief shapes how we work with mission-driven organizations that need more than implementation support. They need a strategic partner who can help them decide what to fix first, what to stop doing, and what comes next.

Why Coat Rack

The name started with a real coat rack in our first office and a playful line about hanging fancy web applications on a solid base. Over time, that idea became a better way to describe what nonprofits actually need from technology: not more noise, but more structure.

Technology touches fundraising, programs, operations, reporting, and growth. But too often, the systems underneath that work are layered, reactive, and harder to manage than they should be.

That is where Coat Rack comes in. We help nonprofits reduce tech chaos through governance and planning. We bring structure to technology decisions, clarity to priorities, and a practical path forward so leaders can build systems that support the mission over the long term.

How We Work

We do not believe nonprofits need more random tools, more disconnected fixes, or more technology decisions made in isolation. They need a clearer way to lead.

Our work is grounded in governance, planning, and practical partnership. We help nonprofit leaders understand what is working, what is not, what needs attention first, and what decisions will create the most stability and momentum.

That means helping teams set priorities, build roadmaps, choose tools that fit their capacity, and create a decision-making rhythm that keeps technology aligned with the mission.

Meet The Team

Coat Rack is led by experienced nonprofit technology partners and supported by a team that helps turn clear decisions into practical progress.
Together, we bring leadership, consulting, development, testing, and delivery experience to the work.
